Abstract
The defendant Zhao Zhengzhi took flight ET863 from Lusaka, the capital of the Republic of Zambia, to Addis Ababa, capital of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and then took flight ET604 to arrive at Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport on April 9, 2017. At the time of entry, he chose to take the non-declaration channel and did not declare any items to the customs. When the customs officers inspected the luggage carried by Zhao Zhengzhi, 89 pieces of suspected ivory products were found in their suitcases, which were identified as ivory products. The defendant, Zhao Zheng, was arrested on the spot, and the ivory products involved in the case have been seized and detained.
