Abstract

On the 22 July 2008 during a routine check, the chief of the Forestry and Wildlife Control Post of Mintom, apprehended two persons red-handed Mrs NSAH MEBA & AMVAME Brice Macaire). Upon arrest they possessed the following wildlife fauna products: twelves (12) Gorilla parts, four (4) Mandrill parts, four (4) monkey and others hidden in a bag and transported on a bike by the suspects. They did not have any legal document authorizing them to carry out such activities. During the interrogation they admitted the illegality of their acts. The products seized were sold during a public auction. After interrogations, they were all transmitted to the State Attorney for prosecution.
