On the 27 April 2009, during a routine control at a checkpoint on the Djoum-Mintom road, the Djoum Forestry and Wildlife Control Post agents arrested NNA MINTYA Alain & NSEE Leonard flagrante delicto. They were transporting, three (3) blue Duiker, Bay Duiker parts, two (2) Black-Casqued Wattled Hornbill and two (2) monkeys. Upon their arrest, they confessed that the protected animals were brought to a poacher in AVEBE village. They also acknowledged not having any legal document authorizing this activity. After interrogations, they were transmitted to the State Attorney for prosecution, while the seized items were sold during a public auction.
