The accused persons were caught flagrante delicto in possession and circulation of the remains of a totally protected class A animal specie, specifically gorilla. As per the accused, BISSO Patrick, he went into the forest to carry out hunting.

On the 16 August 2014, the accused BUBA AMINA INUSA was arrested flagrante delicto by forces of law and order in illegal possession of two (02) elephant ivories without a certificate of origin. The ivories were hidden in his vehicle. During interrogations, he acknowledged committing the offences as charged and pleaded guilty.

In January 2019, the accused was arrested by elements of the conservation service of Dja arrested the accused person for Illegal detention of hunting guns, illegal hunting without permit, and involuntary harm. At the close of interrogations, they were transmitted before the State Attorney for prosecution.

On the 5 September 2017, elements of the forestry and wildlife control post of Djoum carried out investigations on poaching activities. This led to the arrest of the accused flagrante delicto with a Chimpanzee in attempt to sell it.

Following the order of the examining magistrate on the 27 June 2016 and at the request of the State Attorney, the accused persons MVONDO Jean, KPWOMBO Marcel, AKONO KEA, TASSI Jean Paul, FOUMANE NAOMIE Rose, NLEME YEME NNA Marie, DOUMVE Dina and BEZENGUE Bienvenu were summoned before the court of First Instance, Djoum to answer charges of illega

The accused persons KWESSI Franck ROBERTSON and AYOLO ATONG Parfait were summoned before the court of First Instance, Djoum by the State Attorney to respond to charges of illegal detention of firearms and ammunitions; and hunting without a permit.

The two accused persons ANGO ANGO Jean Claude and ENDELE NNANGA Leonce Fernand were summoned before the court of First Instance, Djoum on separate proceedings to answer for charges against them respectively.

In July 2017, the accused MINLA MEBALE Francis acquired a hunting gun from the family to carry out a hunting trip in order to solve certain financial problems. Using the ammunitions he had acquired, he killed two hares, two monkeys and two birds in a protected area. On his way back, he was apprehended by eco guards who were on patrol.

The accused persons VOS Christopher and CHINGO Zachari were prosecuted before Court of First Instance, Djoum, for complicity, illegal detention of trophies of protected animal species and firearm. On the 22 November 2011, the court passed judgement.
