On the 29 April 2016, the conservation service of the Dja Biosphere reserve carried out an anti-poaching patrol in the Forest Management Unit of Mpacko (UFA Mpacko). Elements of the conservation service of the Sanaga Maritime Division received reliable information from an informant about an ongoing illegal trafficking activity in the locality of Mouanko. On the 27 April 2009, during a routine control at a checkpoint on the Djoum-Mintom road, the Djoum Forestry and Wildlife Control Post agents arrested NNA MINTYA Alain & NSEE Leonard flagrante delicto. They were transporting, three (3) blue Duiker, Bay Duiker parts, two (2) Black-Casqued Wattled Hornbill and two (2) monkeys.
