In 2018, MBOPUWOUO CHIWOUO Sylvain was arrested in Yokadouma with 4 elephant tusks. He was prosecuted and sentenced for the illegal killing of totally protected animal species. The State Attorney and the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife, dissatisfied with this decision, both appealed against the judgment.
In 2018 MEFIRE ISSOFA and WO LEMBO ABO Eric, were arrested in Yokadouma in possession of elephant tusks. After interrogations, together with the seized elephant tusks, they were all transmitted to the State Attorney for prosecution. The State Attorney remanded them in custody while under prosecution.
The Chief of the Forestry and Wildlife control post of Lomie received reliable information on the illegal circulation of ivory trafficking in the town. Based on this, he dispatched this information to his collegues in the neighbouring localities of Mitoum, Payo and Nomedjoh in an effort to arrest the whole trafficking network.

In January 2014, Forestry and Wildlife elements of the Upper Nyong division arrested the accused flagrante delicto in illegal possession of an elephant tusk and two pieces of elephant meat. He did not also possess his National Identity Card at the time of arrest. During interrogation, the accused admitted to committing the offences as charged.
BOFE Gabriel was arrested by agents of the forestry and wildlife control post in the locality of Koumela in the Salapoumbé Subdivision. He was found in possession of a hunting gun particularly a caliber 12 hunting gun in a prohibited hunting zone. During interrogations, he denied committing the offence as charged and pleaded not guilty.

During interrogations, he acknowledged committing the offence as charged and pleaded guilty. At the close of interrogations, he was transmitted before the State Attorney for prosecution.
